Finally, I'm taking some annual leave

My fixed term contract is almost up (I was due to finish 17th October, this has now been extended to 6th November) - and as a 'wind down' to potential unemployment (OMG OMG OMG...how on earth will I pay the bills...and how will manage Christmas??!!!!) I have, instead of looking for alternative employment (which would have been a far more sensible thing to spend my time doing!) been busy in 'the studio'...

Firstly, as I've been 'stuck' with my large Kings Wood painting, I thought I would do a small 'study' painting to see if I could re-inspire myself with it - it didn't...not immediately anyway!

Then I thought some doodling/sketchbook work my help....

Well, the sketch book didn't exactly help for the big painting...but has resulted in a 'Christmas' order (4 little canvas on boards have now been primed and are busy drying ready for painting in a couple of days time!) and another Christmas order will be worked on too....watch this space! :-)
